The United States (US) Embassy in Malaysia recently showcased a spectacular throwback image of Malaysia, captured by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) from the International Space Station in 2016.
Taking to its Facebook page, the US Embassy highlighted how ‘electric’ Malaysia looked under lightning strikes.

The caption reads:
“Malaysia, you’ve never looked more electric. Looking back at this iconic 2016 shot from the International Space Station. Those bright pops of white aren’t city lights – they’re massive lightning strikes firing off inside a thunderstorm system.
“It’s easy to forget we live on a living, breathing planet until you see it from this angle. Whether you’re under the storm or above it, the view is spectacular.”
The US Embassy also added a little piece of trivia, which is that lightning is roughly 30,000 Kelvins (29,700 Degrees Celsius) and is about five times hotter than the surface of the sun.
“Nothing to see here”
The post made Malaysians nervous as they hilariously “gaslighted” the US to divert President Donald Trump’s attention away from Malaysia by claiming that Malaysia has absolutely no oil and that Malaysia is all trees and animals.
