Just yesterday, a poor doggo was discovered nearly severed in TWO from having its belly constricted and bound by a metal wire at a Tesco supermarket in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.
According to the Malaysia Animal Association Facebook page, the cord that compressed the abused pup had inflicted wounds so deep, it tore into parts of the doggo’s abdomen. His genitals were also reportedly squeezed out from the pressure applied by the metal wiring.
The damage was so severe that it took the whole night for the rescue team to cut off the piece of wire tied to the dog’s stomach without exacerbating its suffering. The team of rescuers were at the scene till 4.30 in the morning, trying to save the pooch from its dire situation.
According to a source interviewed by Harian Metro, it was said that the dog had been suffering from animal cruelty for over a year now before it was “captured” by a trap that was deliberately set up near the supermarket.
Arie Dwi Andika, president of the Animal Association of Malaysia, thanked the rescue team for their commendable efforts to make sure the doggo was saved from his suffering:
“We are grateful to Veterinary Doctor Dr Alia Azri and his aide, Nor Intan Izaidah of the Negeri Sembilan Putra Veterinary Clinic who also helped rescue the animal.”
Once the innocent pup, dubbed as “Dawai’s Dog”, was safely extracted from the trap, it was immediately rushed to the Putra Veterinary clinic for a gruesome operation that lasted for hours before it was declared stable.
The canine has been transported to Shelter Furrykids Safeheaven in Seremban while it is being treated.
“For the next few months, they will be taking care of [the doggo’s treatment fees] including sterilisation and a total cost of RM3,000,” he said.
The association has pleaded with the public to help the poor pup afford the care he deserves. If you’re interested in finding out more on how you can help the Tesco Dawai Doggo, do WhatsApp +601120901097 for more details. You can also offer financial aid via the following information below:
