Netizens Praise S’porean Schoolboys Using Umbrella to Shield Disembarking Strangers From Rain

A random act of kindness by a boy in school uniform warmed the hearts of netizens recently after a video of him helping out strangers at a bus stop went viral online.

Shared by the sgfollowsall Instagram page, the short video was posted last month and garnered over 67,000 likes as of the time of writing.

In the video, the boy can be seen waiting at the door of a bus with his umbrella out to shield disembarking passengers from the heavy rain.

Based on the caption, the incident took place at a bus stop in Punggol in the country and was recorded by a sgfollowsall follower that was at the scene, which was then sent to the Instagram page.

The account also clarified that while it was not apparent in the video, the disembarking passengers did indeed thank the boy for his wholesome act.

Following the video going viral, it seems that courtesy and kindness are not lost on the new generation as another boy was seen doing the same thing at a different location in Singapore.

In another recent post, the Instagram page shared another video of a boy’s random act of kindness which you can view here:

 

In the newer post’s comments, many praised the boy and said that he is a very kind young man. One commenter said that his parents have definitely raised him well, while another commenter thanked him for the random act of kindness, giving him a congratulatory well done.
