Most people know the tell-tale signs of a scammer by now – LHDN calls, loan sharks asking for money, or even delivery people claiming that you’ve just lost your parcel and will require you some form of monetary reimbursement to get them back.

This may just be the worst of the lot – as this scammer is angrily requesting his would-be victim to pay a ransom to get his child back.

Here is a recording of the incident.

With the caption: “Scammer alert!!! He claimed that he kidnapped this lady’s child and is asking for RM50,000.”

In the call, the man can be heard, rather angrily stating that this was not a game. Failing to even name which child he took, he simply wanted the man to pay up.

In their comments, one netizen urged the public to be careful and not to take this kind of phone call seriously.
