We’ve heard of luxurious toilets that are as “cold like heaven”, public toilets that are complete with a water filter as well as air-conditioning and special toilets for VIPs.
However, have you ever seen a restroom cubicle which has 2 toilets in one?
Recently a Malaysian took to Twitter to share a picture of exactly that. According to the Twitter user, the unique cubicle is located in a shopping mall in Selangor.
Malaysians are amused
The simple post of the picture has gone viral and sits on over 3,068 likes and 1,584 shares at the time of writing. Malaysians were amused with it and wondered how exactly would it work.
“You can now invite your friend to hang out with you in the toilets.”
“Whilst pooping you can talk is it?” asked a netizen.
Another commented, “There’s only one pipe so you wash there then maybe after that you can move to the other toilet.”
A few users even tagged their best friends and said that they are looking forward to using the toilets together. “We can race to see who can poo the fastest,” said a user.
Another responded to their friend who tagged them on the post, “I know that we’re best friends but there’s no need to poo together.”
One user jokingly said, “This isn’t for you to poo together. If the 1st one is already filled but you still want to continue pooping, you can just use the other one. Worried that when you flush, the poop will not be flushed properly.”
The real reason behind it
Although the majority of netizens were amused with the shared toilets, a couple of users were less than impressed and told the others to do their research before assuming such things.
“Before you make fun of it… study before you do it. If you don’t know or are unsure, find out first. These toilets are to train small children to use toilets while you’re at the mall. So mums and dads can go in together to show them how to sit,” said a user.
Another commented, “Those who condemn must not have kids or have never brought their kids to the mall toilets. There are lots of facilities like these for the comfort of families.”
Have you ever seen such shared toilets or have you ever used one?
