No matter how much turmoil is created among Malaysians, there is always one thing that will bring us all together, and that is the spirit of helping others.
Malaysian, Ko Khai Kit shared with World of Buzz, an incident that happened in Taman Melati, Kuala Lumpur, where a man had fallen from his motorcycle. He shared how, from his home, the view gave him the perfect perspective of how kind Malaysians truly are.
“In Taman Melati, 5pm today (7 November), a man, roughly in his 30’s, fell from his motorcycle. The sound echoed to the 9th floor, where me and my brother were staying and we immediately knew what was going on. We saw six food delivery riders stopping one by one and helped the man. Me and my brother, who is a medical graduate from Russia, took ice and some painkillers and went down to help the victim,” he said.
“I want to say, I was amazed by the sheer amount of people that stopped and stayed to offer assistance to the man. That pretty much sums up the spirit that is burning in every single Malaysian. In a Malaysia where everyone has already assumed is segregated by a racial divide, one might not put much hope in the slogan, ‘Satu Malaysia’, but this incident proves that todays Malaysia is still a united one,” he added.
There is nothing stopping Malaysians from carrying on with our lives while others are enduring hardships, but Malaysians will stop anyways, to help where they can.
It’s truly refreshing to hear that nothing will come in the way of Malaysians who only want to spread kindness.
