While Malaysians hate going to government offices to conduct their affairs, there is one place where we prefer to go should we ever need to, and that’s Malaysia’s Urban Transformation Centres (UTCs).

UTCs, which house various government agencies as a convenient one-stop centre for Malaysians, were first formed during disgraced former Prime Minister Najib Razak’s administration.

The Bitcoin Malaya X Page recently took to their account to share their belief that Malaysians don’t appreciate UTCs enough.

They wrote, “One thing Malaysians don’t appreciate enough – Urban Transformation Centres (UTCs), which operate even on weekends.”

Thank you, Najib?

Since the post went up, many Malaysians have been taking to the comment section to share how they absolutely appreciate UTCs and are calling for more branches to be opened.

Many are also showing their appreciation to the disgraced former Prime Minister for the initiation of UTCs.

“This is the one thing Najib left behind that I support. Even though he stole billions.”

“That’s true. Everything is in 1 place. JPJ, JPN, JIM, LHDN. There’s no need to go here and there.”

utc 3

“There should be 1 UTC in every district.”

Based on the UTC website, there are currently 15 UTC branches and 7 Mini UTC branches across Malaysia that open from 8am to 10pm daily (except on public holidays).

What do you think? Should the current government invest in opening more UTC branches?

Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
