Parents often keep their valuables in places that are hard for their children to reach, as they’re worried that their children would treat the valuables like toys.
One woman in China endured the shock of her life when she discovered her 20-gram gold bar had gone missing from her jewellery box, only for her toddler to insistently point at the rubbish bin, indicating that the toddler might have accidentally thrown it away.
In a video shared on Douyin, the woman asked her toddler where the missing gold bar was while pointing at the empty jewellery box.
The toddler then walked over to the rubbish bin in their home and pointed at it.
After having asked multiple times and receiving the same answer, the woman eventually had to accept the real possibility that the gold bar might have been thrown away in the trash.
“I asked this question at least 10 times, and she always ended up in the same place. I finally gave up.”
