The wholesome act of a local water theme park owner earned praise from Malaysians recently after they, without hesitation, offered free access to the theme park’s facilities for a group of special needs children.

Shared by Izzul Amin, the organiser of the trip to the water theme park, on X (formerly Twitter), the heartwarming exchange has since gone viral with over 445,700 views and more than 16,000 likes.

In the post, Izzul shared how the owner of the water theme park immediately let the group get free entrance as soon as they found out that he was bringing a group of differently-abled kids to the theme park.

Izzul shared,

“Malaysians are kind people. Thank you to this water park owner. When they found out I was bringing a group of special children to bathe, they gave us free entrance.

“100% sponsored. Thank you for your kindness. I’m proud to be Malaysian.”

Attached to the post are 4 photos of the differently-abled children having a fun time at the water theme park, including a photo of the tour bus used to transport them there.

Further elaborating on the wholesome incident in a thread, Izzul said that he never hoped for free entrance or sponsorship from anyone as the group already had a designated budget for all the special children.

However, the theme park owner immediately approached the group after noticing they were bringing differently-abled children and offered to fully sponsor them for the day.

Izzul didn’t name the location and name of the water theme park though, saying that he needs to ask the owner first whether it’s okay to share with everyone and will do so if the owner agrees.

Izzul then has a piece of encouragement for parents of special needs children, saying,

“Having children with special needs can be challenging. Getting people to understand can be the hardest part.

“Don’t let others who don’t understand your struggles make you doubt your parenting.”
