A recent post has warmed the hearts of many Malaysians after a kind woman made a generous donation while dining at a popular Penang eatery.
In a Facebook post, the admin of Nasi Kandar Sulaiman (NKS) shared how a Chinese aunty approached the cashier to pay her bill, but ended up giving more than expected.

A heartwarming act of generosity
According to the post, the lady made a generous decision to pay RM110 instead of just RM10, hoping to give back to the community.
For those who didn’t know, the eatery often collects contributions from people who want to help treat the less fortunate. Feeling moved by this, she decided to donate RM100 to those in need.
“There was a Chinese lady who, for a RM10 bill, gave RM110. I was really surprised. She said the extra RM100 was for people in need. She explained that she felt inspired to donate after seeing our post about treating a family with disabilities to a meal, and she was also drawn to another post of mine about charity.
“It was really touching. When we share good deeds, people naturally like to read them. The donation came from this Chinese lady, and this is what people call charity that brings people together,” the post read.

Netizens’ reactions

“Praise be to the Almighty. Paid RM110 for a RM10 meal, with the extra donated to those in need. Not asking for a discount, but putting charity first.”

“May the aunty be blessed with even more sustenance. Acts of charity and sharing your blessings help to increase your fortune.”

“It’s also great when someone creates opportunities for others to give in charity. Well done!”

“The Chinese lady is so sweet.”
