The Tapah Media Official Facebook page recently called out the local authorities of the area for their workmanship, after a pothole that they fixed at Bukit Baldwin in Tapah, Perak, became a pothole again within 24 hours.

On September 2, Tapah Media Official took to their Facebook page to share updates about the road at Bukit Baldwin which was being fixed.

Unfortunately, barely 24 hours later on September 3, Tapah Media Official posted another update with the caption “Less than 24 hours later, the road that was repaired yesterday has become damaged again.”

Netizens were not happy with the workmanship

Malaysians, too, agree that the authorities need to do a better job in maintaining our infrastructure and shared their frustration at how careless the authorities are.

Road 1

“This is what people call, ‘to cough at the foot of the stairs’ (a Malay proverb that means to do things carelessly).”

Road 2

“Do you guys see just how ‘cincai’ Batang Padang JKR carries out their jobs? 4 cones should have been placed to prevent vehicles from passing through the newly-paved road. If those making noise were from a majority Chinese area, problems won’t happen like this. They are not professional at all at doing work.”

Road 3

“Where is the Tapah Member of Parliament? We only see him once every 5 years. Congratulations to the Member of Parliament as he has ‘successfully advanced’ Tapah for 5 terms.”

Road 4

“This is the level of the appointed contractors? If they didn’t get the job through connections, then they have to be cronies. Someone please check.”
