A pair of exclusive Nike Air Jordan shoes at a live broadcast of a press conference by Johor Police Chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay stole the attention of citizens when someone asked about the price of the shoes.

The press conference by Ayob Khan was held following the arrest of three men including a man with the title ‘Datuk’ in a non-existent investment scheme involving foreign currency.

Posted by Polis Johor on Thursday, November 26, 2020

As reported by Harian Metro, the focus of the press conference shifted when Ayob Khan showed off the exclusive Nike Air Jordan shoes, which were released in limited quantities. Ayob Khan said the shoes were part of various items seized including Rolex brand watches, Hublot watches and smartphones.

The attention the pair of shoes were getting, prompted the Johor Police Chief to write down a comment on the picture telling everyone that the shoes are not for sale as netizens started to bid on the photo. He wrote,

“ENDED because this is a case item and not for sale.”

Based on the comments under the photo, the shoes happen to be the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low X Dior models and they are sold at around RM20,000 to RM40,000, depending on the size in the current market. But whatever it is, kudos to Johor Police Chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay for being such a good sport. We can’t imagine ourselves being in his shoes (pun intended).
