As parts of the East Coast in Malaysia were hit by flood last week, some of the victims in Kelantan and Terengganu have been evacuated to the temporary evacuation centres in the respective states.
Yesterday (2 March), in his Twitter account, Prime Minister Dato Seri Ismail Sabri had posted a video of him visiting the flood victims at one of the evacuation centres in Hulu Terengganu. He expressed his feelings when an elderly personally approached him to personally retrieve the distribution items.
“I’m touched to see an elderly who walked towards me to received the aid despite his old age.”

Berasa amat terharu ketika seorang warga emas di PPS, ingin mengambil sendiri bantuan yang saya sampaikan walaupun beliau sudah uzur. pic.twitter.com/JKXvC9MpJY

This morning (3 March), Sabri posted another video of him in the same evacuation centre where he can be seen mingling around with the flood victims while distributing the aids. It is revealed that the flood condition in Terengganu has started to recede, but he can’t say the same for Kelantan as the flood in the state is still bad.

As of now, there are 22 temporary evacuation centres that are still operational in Kelantan.
“Keluarga Malaysia feels sorry for the flood victims. Help for the victims will be carried on, as well as the affected micro, small, and medium businesses,” he added.
That’s what we want, Prime Minister!
Netizens are mostly happy to see the PM’s efforts in personally visiting the scene and spending time with the flood victims.
“Thank God. That is what we want. Thank you, PM for listening to the rakyats!”
“Fortunately the flood has receded. Thank you, PM for always caring about the rakyats.”
As the flood condition on the East Coast has yet to recover fully, do help in any way you can. We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who has helped the victims during this tough time.
