A recent video has since gone viral online after two Malaysian women, along with several members of the public, stepped in to help save a man.

One of the women, Atie (@nurhytmaliki), captured the moment on camera after she and her friend came across a man sitting on the edge of a bridge railing while they were driving.

Concerned, the pair decided to approach the man, driving past him to ask if he needed any help and why he was sitting there alone.

In a panic, the women then decided to call the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), but they were unsure of their exact location, prompting them to ask others for help.

They quickly sought help from members of the public nearby and alerted them to the situation. They then directed a motorcyclist to where the man was sitting.

Upon reaching the location, they tried to persuade the man not to go any further. Two men eventually managed to grab hold of him and pull him away from the edge to safety.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Atie shared that the incident took place on 19 August along Jalan Bukit Nanas, Kuala Lumpur.

She later revealed that after getting the man to safety, they called an ambulance, and he was subsequently taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).

“After we managed to get him to safety, we also called an ambulance to check on his condition, and he was taken to HKL. I don’t know how he’s doing now, but I hope the man is okay,” she added.

“Don’t be afraid to stop and try to help”

Atie also shared a reminder for fellow Malaysians who may be going through a tough time, encouraging them to look out for one another and not be afraid to lend a helping hand.

“For me, if we see someone who is going through something like that, don’t be afraid to stop and try to help. Sometimes we might think, ‘Who am I to get involved?’ But that small action of ours could actually save a life.

“To anyone who is going through a difficult time or feels like life has become too overwhelming, please don’t make any decisions when your emotions are at their peak. Find someone, talk to them and ask for help. Your problems may not be solved today, but as long as we’re still alive, there’s always a chance that things can get better.”
