A sickly, elderly Malaysian mother has been left in shambles upon discovering that her daughter had allegedly been used as a drug mule by her boyfriend, causing her daughter to be sentenced to 8 years in jail in Japan.
Philanthropist, Uncle Kentang, took to his Facebook page to share how this all came to be, as the daughter had reached out to him via a letter from prison in Japan, to ask him to take care of her elderly mother due to her illnesses. The daughter’s age was not disclosed.

“Never trust your boyfriend 100%”
He wrote, “Her daughter told me to take care of her mum for her. She was used as a mule for drugs. Youngsters must not be too eager to travel. And never believe and trust your boyfriend 100%. He may be the agent looking for mules.”
“Do not trust your boyfriend who wants to bring you travelling. You may be the mule that they use to carry drugs.”
Uncle Kentang explained that the daughter’s boyfriend had allegedly offered her a trip to Japan and gave her a luggage bag to pack for the trip. It turns out that the luggage bag contained drugs. Upon getting caught, the daughter was sentenced to 8 years in jail in Japan.

What makes this situation worse is that the sickly mother may not live long enough to see her daughter released from jail.
“The boyfriend bought her a luggage bag, and she was given a free ticket to Japan. But, the luggage bag had drugs concealed within it. The daughter has to sit out 8 years in prison in Japan,”
“I do not know if the mum can last that long. She has diabetes, and it’s not well controlled. (She has) high blood pressure too. She hopes she will have the chance to see her daughter again while she’s alive,” he added.
A plea not to be so trusting
Uncle Kentang ended his post by reiterating the importance of not falling for drug mule traps set by ‘handsome’ men.
“Young men with handsome faces can easily win a young girl’s heart. Never allow your daughters to travel without your supervision if the boyfriend is giving her free travel tickets. Youngsters must not be gullible. The offer of job opportunities may come with a heavy price. Do not fall for big wages or salaries. It is often more of a trap,” he said.
