The bank owns the right to repossess your car if you fail to pay your loans after a certain amount of time, depending on your contract. A Malaysian woman, however, is 8 months behind on her car loan and decided to damage her beloved car as it was being repossessed.
In the viral video, the woman was seen damaging the windshield by repeatedly smashing it with a brick.
The bumper of the car is also completely damaged, and according to the caption of the viral post, the car had been towed by the truck but the woman allegedly drove it back into her house without unhooking the bumper, which caused the damage.
“This car belongs to the owner. So, there’s nothing wrong for us to damage it!” the woman said before she continued to damage the window and the rearview mirror.
Another man was also seen coming out of the house to join the woman in damaging the car.
The men could only watch and record the incident.
The video was initially shared on TikTok but has since been removed, and is still currently circulating on Facebook.
In case you are wondering why they didn’t tow the car away, here are some rules that you MIGHT NOT be aware of when it comes to towing a car.
According to the information on the official website of BJAK, a car and motor insurance company, a car can only be towed away if it is not parked inside a gated residence. Additionally, vehicles can only be towed from 9 AM to 9 PM, except on public holidays.
The agents tasked to repossess your car will also have to produce their official IDs or letters.
We can only imagine the pending costs that the woman will have to bear later.
