Rapists seem to be getting younger nowadays, as a recent case of a teenage girl getting gang raped by a group of teenage boys has made the headlines in Malaysia again.
According to The Star, the victim is a 15-year-old student who had met her attackers through the social chatting app, WeChat. The incident happened on June 14, at around 3.00pm in an abandoned house located in Manggatal, Sabah but the teenage victim made a police report on July 26.
She alleged that she was gang raped by a group of five teenage boys aged between 13 and 18 when she went to meet them on that fateful day. Kota Kinabalu police chief Asst Comm M. Chandra confirmed that they have received the report and all five suspects have been arrested and will be remanded until August 3.
Apparently the suspects had invited her for a walk to nearby abandoned house during the meeting and she was forced to comply. ACP Chandra said, “Later, she told them that she did not want to continue but the boys allegedly forced her to follow, saying that they only wanted to talk and would send her home after that.”
The group reached the abandoned house and they chatted for a few minutes, before the suspects made her lie down and took turns forcing themselves on her. WTF!
The police did not mention the reason the report was lodged after more than a month of the incident but informed that the investigations are ongoing.
Don’t blame the victim, blame the rapists instead.
