As students, we can relate to the financial challenges of moving away from home and learning to survive on our own. We often depend on budget-friendly foods like instant noodles and snacks to stretch our allowances until the next one comes in.
In a recent viral video making waves online, student @abang_kitkat shared on his TikTok a glimpse of his personal locker packed with all sorts of snacks.
“Locker mart!”
In celebration of Ramadan, the student came up with a funny and clever idea by using one of his dorm room lockers as a snack stash.
From tea bags arranged in a unique way to crackers and even RM1 notes, the video has since amused online netizens, as his creativity didn’t go unnoticed.
“This reminds me of my boarding school days in the 90s”
The video has certainly sparked nostalgia, with one user commenting that it reminded them of the 90s, suggesting that this method has been popular since then.
Keeping a food stash in dorms is nothing new. However, it’s refreshing to see students getting creative with how they store their snacks.
Whether the student is doing it for himself or to sell, it certainly grabbed the attention of netizens online.
“Are you planning to open your own mart?”
“Mini mart. It’s so rare to see tea bags being displayed that way.”
“Are you starting a cracker shop?”
