Taking to TikTok, netizen @aiijump shared a video of how kids and parents are now taking over their skatepark in Johor Bahru, Johor, and turning it into a hangout spot and pseudo-playground.
The video shows how crowded the park has become, with visitors casually hanging out around ramps meant for skaters to skate and couples sitting on benches, taking away facilities intended for skaters in Johor Bharu.
In the caption, the netizen writes: “I’m tired of having to deal with stubborn parents. I’m sorry for the language, but this is a skatepark, not a playground or a place for you to organise picnics.”
Netizens commenting on the video said the same thing.
“I am not a skateboarder, but this is common sense.”
“I can’t believe that the girl’s boyfriends brought her to a skatepark for their date.”
“My only wish is that if the kids crash into a skateboarder, the parents will not blame the skater for the incident.”
Come on, people, let’s practice some common sense in situations like this.
