It’s no secret that Malaysians tend to take their own sweet time at pick up and drop off areas, causing long queues and traffic jams.
One Malaysian man is now urging parents to be more considerate of others when dropping off their kids at school as they cause congestion on the roads.
Kelantan Amanah’s legal bureau spokesman, Hisham Fauzi, took to his Facebook page to share his frustrations on having to be stuck in traffic jams when dropping off their kids at school, caused by parents who take their own sweet time.
He wrote, “Every morning, I’ve noticed this when dropping my child off at primary school. Not just once, but many times.”
“There are the type of parents who will stop their cars, get down from their cars, open the door for their kids, put their kids’ schoolbags on for them, give their children their packed food, open their wallet to give their children money, give their kids a little message and motivation and in the end, kiss and hugs their kids.”
He added that the parents will also tend pray with their kids and only then get back into their cars and drive away.
While he praised the love and dedication these parents have for their kids, he is also hoping to make them realise that they are causing many others to have to wait for a long time because of this.
“It is very good, they really love their children. And I am the one behind them, feeling heated as I have to queue along with dozens of other cars behind them who cannot pass,” he added.
So, let’s all be more considerate and remember that there are many others who also need to drop off their kids, go to work and go on with their day.
