A video has gone viral on social media recently, showing a boy repeatedly trying to peek a look inside a toilet cubicle of a shopping centre while a man was inside.
The video, shared by @auzwhynot on TikTok has garnered over 1.9 million views as of the time of writing, with many feeling creeped out by what had transpired.
In the 1-minute-47-second video, the boy can be seen trying to put his head under the toilet cubicle walls, first on the left then at the door and finally on the right.
@auzwhynot said that he was shocked when he first noticed the boy trying to peek inside the toilet cubicle. Thankfully, he was still wearing boxers inside the toilet, hence the boy didn’t see anything indecent.
@auzwhynot shared,
“Luckily he’s still a boy… If he was not, I would’ve already kicked his head… I was thinking that he was just a child, so maybe he was looking for his father or brother.”
“However, it got weirder because he’s peeking from various angles… I’m worried maybe he’s a serial peeping tom.”
In the comments, many were creeped out by the situation, though some did question why the man didn’t just scream or use the bidet to spray water on the kid.
One commenter said that she now has a new paranoia of there being a head watching her from the bottom of a toilet cubicle. Meanwhile, another commenter said that it’s now not even safe to do our business in a public toilet.
Replying to the comments in a separate TikTok post, @auzwhynot said that he did reprimand the kid but didn’t record a video while doing so as the boy’s face would be visible then.
Furthermore, he said that he didn’t scream because he wanted to save the face of his family in public. After recording the video, he actually went out of the cubicle which prompted the boy to run outside but he found that there were several people outside with toddlers and decided not to push the matter any further.
