In the video, set in a casual backdrop in Hakim’s podcast, the host of Borak Space revealed the origin of his name.

Hakim stated that both of his parents are lawyers. As if that wasn’t extraordinary enough, he unveiled the meaning behind his name, which left viewers awestruck.

Hakim, translates to “wise one” in Arabic. However, in Malay, it also means “Judge”. And guess what? Both meanings couldn’t be more appropriate for him, given his parents’ legal profession.

But the story doesn’t end there. Hakim continued to dive into even more astonishing details about his father’s role in shaping Malaysia’s legal landscape. Apparently, Hakim’s dad played a pivotal role in enacting the speed trap law, a regulation that affects countless individuals across the country.

For those unfamiliar with speed traps, they are a common sight in Malaysia. These measures are implemented to curb speeding and promote road safety. However, Hakim revealed that when his father introduced the speed trap law, it was an unprecedented move. No such legislation existed at the time.

Amidst the astonishment, Hakim emphasised that he, too, had to abide by the speed trap law and pay fines like any other citizen. It was a humbling reminder that even though his father had played a vital role in its implementation, no one was above the law.
