It’s become common to see motorcycles being parked on sidewalks but are these motorcyclists going too far?
Imagine being honked at by a motorcyclist, for being a pedestrian using a sidewalk. Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?
Netizen, @Sivavmn, took to his Twitter profile to share an incident where a motorcyclist honked at him and rudely told him to move, when he was walking on a sidewalk in Kuala Lumpur.
He wrote, “This person was riding their bike on the pavement and had the audacity to honk at me to move. When I told him off, he said that I should respect elders. Apparently, he does not need to respect road rules. He shouted something about me not being a Malaysian.”
On top of the fact that Siva was enduring a leg injury, he received a fright from the sudden honk. Which is fair because, who would expect to be honked at on a sidewalk, right?
“I’m just posting this here because I hate people. KL sidewalks are not pedestrian friendly. I have a leg injury. These kinds of people make it harder. And that’s not including the shock of someone honking at you on the sidewalk.”
What would you have done if you were in Siva’s shoes? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
