With RM350 at hand, what would you eat? Or, how much would you eat?

A Malaysian influencer decided to spend it all on Nasi Kandar. Yes, you read that right! In a viral Facebook post by Nasi Kandar Sulaiman, the influencer, Ashwad, who is also running his own burger business – The Fat Burger visited the popular Nasi Kandar chain in Penang to break his personal record.

Last year, Ashwad visited the same place and spent RM222 for Nasi Kandar, which he gladly finished alone, and this time, history repeated itself, only bigger and pricier.

So it wasn’t Ashwad’s 1st rodeo in consuming a BIG plate of Nasi Kandar.

With RM350, Ashwad got a full tray of Nasi Kandar which included seafood such as prawns, squid, a GIANT fish head, and different meats, which were ladled with a generous amount of gravy.

If you don’t have a big appetite, it looks like a meal enough to last for 1 week!

And yes, Ashwad finished it all by himself, as shown in a video by Nasi Kandar Sulaiman. According to the video, the Nasi Kandar lover cleared the plate within an hour, and the man described the food as “the best in the world.”

The restaurant also provided a breakdown of the pricing, which is as below,

  • Rice: RM1.50
  • Prawns: RM8 x 33 pieces (RM264)
  • Squid: RM8.50 x 2 pieces (RM17)
  • Hard-boiled egg: RM1
  • Squid roe: RM8
  • Chicken: RM5.50
  • Fish head: RM50
  • Lady’s finger: RM1
  • Egg with onions: RM2

In another post, Nasi Kandar Sulaiman also debunked the rumours that claimed Ashwad spending that much on Nasi Kandar alone was merely to show off.

“He just wanted to promote his business, The Fat Burger. As fellow businessmen, we agreed that marketing is important in improving a business. It’s like a businessman helping another businessman.”

Nasi Kandar lovers, if you have the budget, are you up to having a big feast on the meal?
