In the midst of prayer, it’s not uncommon for one to misplace a valuable item that is in their possession, especially at a public place where one is responsible for keeping an eye on their goods. However, one mosque in Kajang is making waves online for carrying out a noble deed, ensuring that no matter who leaves a valuable item behind, that they are not left without it forever.

A recent TikTok clip by the account @ehailing.fm has been making waves online after a devotee at Masjid Bandar Seri Putra in Kajang came across a display cabinet which mosque officials used to arrange numerous valuable lost items left behind by attendees. Giving the cabinet a quick glance, various items from watches to rings, keychains, and even wallets, are kept in the cabinet.

“Here, the mosque officials keep your belongings that you may have forgotten about or lost. It could have been found in the bathroom or the wudu area. If you think you left something behind, whether it’s your watch, wallet, or rings, just come and see the officials at Masjid Bandar Seri Putra, Kajang,” said the user in the video.

Speaking to an official from Masjid Bandar Seri Putra in Kajang, WORLD OF BUZZ discovered that the mosque simply refers to the items on display as the lost and found board. They keep anything found in the display cabinet, so any person who notices an item belonging to them may come and claim it.

“There have been people who claimed some items, but not many. Plenty of items have not been collected yet. The display board is locked at all times. If anyone wants to claim an item, an officer at our mosque will unlock it and give it to them,” said the official to WORLD OF BUZZ.

Receiving ample praise online, many users commended the place of worship for going to such lengths, just to ensure that lost items do not remain lost forever. Some even added how smart it was to put the items on display, making it easy for devotees to view the items and potentially access them.

“It looks like a gallery this way, a straightforward method to see everything that is there. Good job to officials at the mosque, this is a really great idea!” wrote one user.

Nevertheless, multiple cheeky viewers also took the opportunity to express some jests in the comments section, with one user saying that they may have forgotten their Apple Watch at the mosque as well.

“Oh, I actually forgot my Rolex that day. Sir, please keep it safely for me okay!” joked another user.
