Yesterday, 30 November 2023, the much-anticipated Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2024 runway show by the Men’s Creative Director, American singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams, made its sterling debut.
Set as Pharrell’s first show for the brand since joining them as the Men’s Creative Director, the show was staged under a stellar night sky at Hong Kong’s waterfront Avenue of Stars.
Overall, the unveiling of the entertainer’s collection through this show was meant to evoke the fashion house’s transcendent spirit of travel. Making it a night to remember, multiple global stars were seen in attendance for the event, including Hong Kong actor Chow Yun Fat and Hong Kong singer Aaron Kwok.
Beyond the beautiful designs, one Malaysian model was honoured with the opportunity to open the Pre-Fall 2024 show, strutting with style, elegance, and grace.
In a video presentation of the entire show, which has since been uploaded to Louis Vuitton’s official YouTube page, Malaysian model Ridzman Zidaine was spotted opening the show, walking on the catwalk while displaying a one-of-a-kind Louis Vuitton suit.
Striding with confidence, the model’s composed disposition and clear comfort on the runway made him a standout for the brand, even more so as the first model to take a step on the runway.
Ridzman also reappeared during the final walk of the show, front and centre, where every design was showcased one last time before Pharrell stepped out to give his closing walk.
Lighting up the sky, the show concluded with a swarm of drones illuminating the sky above the Victoria Harbour, synchronising to illustrate the motif “LV Lovers”.
Etching a name for himself as a Malaysian model on a global platform, fans of Ridzman may recognise him for being a notable name and walking for significant brands in the modelling industry.
Aside from Louis Vuitton, Ridzman had also walked the runway for Eudon Choi’s London SS 2024 show, Hermès Men’s SS 2024 Collection at Paris Fashion Week, and Emporio Armani’s F/W Milano Fashion Show.
Modelling for a slew of luxury fashion brands and appearing in many campaigns, Ridzman was also featured on Louis Vuitton’s official Instagram story endorsing the fashion show’s limited-edition camera filter, as well as featured on the Instagram page’s main feed.
