Is solving the problems of society everyone’s job, or no one’s job? Often, we ponder this question in our minds as the problems in society increase. Kuan Chee Heng, better known as Uncle Kentang, a person who’s no stranger to the local social media scene, went viral again for his good deeds towards society. He is best known for his efforts such as providing ambulance services for the needy and feeding the homeless.

The PPR plan is a government-led program that helps people with low incomes own a house with an affordable price. This programme is targeted towards people who are mostly under the B40 category.

Uncle Kentang used a yellow Bas Sekolah to transport the children from a PPR to spend the day around KL. These kids spent the day roaming around KLCC and letting their hair down at Dataran Merdeka!

According to Uncle Kentang’s public Facebook post, the children spent the night running on the field of Dataran Merdeka. Uncle Kentang’s aim was to inspire the children to think out of the box by bringing them out of their homeground to experience the outside world.

This act of kindness from Uncle Kentang has touched the hearts of many netizens because the post got over 11,000 post reactions! The comments section was filled with positive feedback from Malaysians, too!

Children of lower-income households often do not get the opportunity to enjoy luxuries and privileges like some of us do. Acts of kindness like these make a huge impact in their lives and helps create happy memories.

Even if we are unable to carry out initiatives like Uncle Kentang, other smaller acts of kindness still count!
