Social media personality and entrepreneur Prince Syed Shahid sparked widespread confusion and concern this week after a sudden post implying his death went viral across TikTok and other platforms.
The shock escalated quickly, only for him to later clarify that the post was fake and uploaded by unknown individuals.

On Friday night (20 February), an image featuring a black‑and‑white photo of Prince Syed alongside an Islamic prayer appeared on his official TikTok account, leading many followers to believe that he had passed away. With no accompanying explanation, the post racked up thousands of shares, comments, and emotional reactions.
“Phone was stolen and hacked.”
Prince Syed later addressed the incident in a TikTok video, explaining that he had misplaced his phone at a restaurant after breaking fast. According to him, someone took the device and gained access to his social media accounts without permission.
The person then uploaded the misleading post that triggered the false death rumours. Prince Syed added that the phone was not protected by a password at the time, which made the unauthorised upload possible.

He expressed frustration and disappointment, calling the act “unnecessary and insensitive,” especially given the sensitive nature of death‑related content. He urged followers not to spread unverified information and to be cautious about believing every viral post.
Although he did not identify the individual or group responsible, he described the ordeal as a reminder of how easily digital accounts can be compromised when devices are left unsecured.
Prince Syed also reassured followers that he is in good health and will continue creating content and managing his business activities.
