An unfortunate Malaysian man was viciously attacked by an unknown assailant who tried to rob him inside the restroom of a KL Mall.
The victim, Wayne, said the attacker initially stood behind him, and with other urinals vacant, Wayne couldn’t help but feel suspicious of the man.
As Wayne was exiting the restroom, the assailant physically attacked him and according to Wayne, he had no choice but to fight back because the attacker stabbed him in the head with a tiger claw knife.
“Yes, there’s a 2cm to 3cm hole in his head. Fortunately, it missed his throat,” explained Wayne’s sister.
The security guards allegedly did not intervene to help
The workers from the nearby boutique, however, rushed to his aid. At the time, Wayne was NOT AWARE of his serious injury when he was stopping the assailant from running away.
He only noticed the severity of his injury after seeing the blood on his shirt. Wayne did not lose any personal belongings and was immediately rushed to the hospital for further treatment.
In a conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Wayne said the incident took place on Sunday evening (July 14) around 6:15 PM. Wayne was discharged last night (July 18), and said,
“I’m still not at my best state.”
When asked about the attacker, Wayne told WORLD OF BUZZ that the perpetrator is going to be charged today (July 19) under Section 392 of the Penal Code, a punishment for robbery that involves a prison term of up to 14 years, according to Burgie Law.
Wayne, however, is not so sure about the outcome of the case.
“I heard that the action of the attempted robbery was not captured on CCTV, and we also don’t have any witnesses. The only thing captured was the physical fight that took place, and him running away. So, it might not amount to a solid case.”
This shall serve as a reminder to all of us to be more alert and careful in public, especially when we’re alone.
