Every time the Palestine-Israel conflict escalates, Malaysian hacker groups would do their thing and either hack Israeli websites, data, CCTVs and more.
But, this time around, it appears that they’ve managed to hack into the Israeli people’s bank details and people are not sure how to feel about it.
The hacker group in mention, DragonForceIO, took to their X (formerly known as Twitter) account to share a file containing the bank details to the Malaysian people, while telling us to take however much we can from the Israeli bank accounts.
They wrote, “Nah, go shopping. Holla, Tel Aviv.”
And while there were many who tried and failed to obtain money through the details the hacker group provided, some shared their disappointment and discouraged others not to take any money from the bank accounts as they believe that stealing is wrong, and two wrongs does not make a right.
“Your actions are stupid. This is considered stealing or are you guys really just thieves? How is it that you can do this as much as you hate them? Even Anonymous (another local hacker group) doesn’t do these kinds of things like you guys. When your family is affected in the future, think back to your sins.”
“I don’t know. I think using this for whatever reason is considered stealing, right? Two wrongs don’t make a right.”
“This is wrong. We shouldn’t steal. Rather than hacking data like this, it’s better that you guys hack their Iron Dome.”
“So stupid to do this kind of work. What does this even prove?”
There were also people who suggested that the money should be taken from the Israeli bank accounts and donated to Palestinian efforts, instead of being used for personal purposes.
