With a CGPA of 3.95 and receiving Cum Laude or The Highest Honor, Johor-born Nurul Jannah has made Malaysia proud after being awarded the best student in Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, USA.
She is also a receiver of the Samuel Welkowitz Award and is the top graduate from 110 students in her faculty. Apart from that, she has been listed in the Matthew Leydt Society, an exclusive club of New Jersey’s highest-achieving graduates, because of her spectacular achievement.
Whoaaa so many reasons to be proud of her!
According to eWarta MARA, she chose to be to pursue her studies in Biomedical Engineering because she was very interested in learning Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Some of the research topics she has completed include, “Inventing nanoparticles for drug delivery purposes to treat traumatic brain injury”, “Pulse pressure and cardiac arrhythmias”, and in her final year, “Noninvasive arterial stiffness detecting device”.
Nurul Jannah is planning to continue her studies to get her PhD in the same field.
