She was beaten by 5 women she knew

The woman who was accused of having an affair with a married man ended up getting beaten by five women in an incident at a flat in Sabah, as reported by Harian Metro.

Tawau District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Jasmin Hussin, said the 29-year-old victim filed a police report at 10:34 AM on January 2, saying that five people she knew showed up at her house and attacked her.

Investigations found that the assault happened because of a dispute after the victim was accused of being involved with one of the suspects’ husbands.

As a result, the victim suffered bleeding in her right eye, bruises on her face, both arms, and thighs, as well as chest pain and difficulty breathing.

“Two of the suspects slapped and hit her face and body before hitting her with a television, while another suspect pulled and cut her hair and even pointed scissors at her face,” Jasmin explained.

The sentence was handed down by Magistrate Don Stiwin Malanjum after the accused, Kartika Ridwan, 31, and her sister, Kasmila Ridwan, 39, pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 323 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34 of the same code.

The court also ordered both sisters to be placed on a bond of RM1,000 with a local guarantor.
