An elderly man is currently under fire online, after he was spotted beating a puppy before abandoning it at Taman Rishah, Ipoh.

What makes this situation worse is that the elderly man had brought a little boy along with him when beating and abandoning the puppy.

Netizen, Indira Gandhi, took to her Facebook page to share CCTV footage of this incident, as it took place in front of her house yesterday (February 19), as well as to reveal that the puppy is currently under her care and is up for adoption.

She wrote, “An incident happened just in front of my house. An elderly man with a boy abandoned this pup at around 5:30pm to 6pm, in front of my house. The elderly guy was hitting the pup before abandoning it. The dog is malnourished and looks skinny.”

“Any kind-hearted soul would like to give him a forever home or would like to keep him as a guard dog for your farm, estate or company, kindly DM me.”

“I really hope someone can adopt him as he is a playful dog!”

In the CCTV footage taken from Indira’s neighbour’s house, the elderly man and the little boy brought the puppy with them before leaving it in front of Indira’s house. The elderly man could be seen beating the pup several times before then walking away with the little boy.

The puppy is doing well

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Indira shared that the puppy, which she has taken in, is currently doing well under her care.

“Gave him a bath and food for now. Tomorrow, a vet is coming to visit him,” she shared, adding that she made a report against the elderly man earlier today (February 20).

Children see, children do?

While many called for action to be taken against the elderly man for his cruel actions, others pointed out that he was setting a horrible example for the little boy who was with him.
