It’s a dangerous world out there. Regardless of the safety measurements you’ve made, sometimes the threats remain. Just recently, a man went missing in Georgetown, Penang, after meeting with a prospective customer who wanted to buy his iPhone.

A Malaysian woman, Eyraswan Ramadhan sought the public’s help via her Instagram post after the victim, who is also her nephew, did not return home. Her nephew, Haikal, was supposed to be home in KL by October 3, but at the time of writing, he was nowhere to be found.

“Haikal has not returned home after dealing with a man who wanted to buy his iPhone,” Eyraswan said in a post. Haikal, however, made a video call to his fiance, where he was seen running and crying.

“He was trying to find the way out and asked his fiance for help but before he could reveal his location, his phone died.”

Eyraswan tried to trace Haikal’s location by looking at his social media log-in, and he was last seen in Georgetown, Penang.

In the meantime, a police report has been made following Haikal’s disappearance. The details of the alleged buyer have also been shared with the police, and an investigation is currently underway.

As of today (October 7), Haikal has yet to find his way home, as revealed via Eyraswan’s recent IG story.

We hope that Haikal can return to his family in no time.
