Nothing feels worse than finding your vehicle damaged after leaving it in the car park for the day. It’s even more heartbreaking when you can’t find the perpetrator, leaving you no choice but to bear the cost on your own.
Just recently, on his TikTok post @aereon.wong, a Malaysian content creator, Aereon Wong shared a shocking incident where he discovered his car in a different condition after he returned from his train ride. The windshield was smashed, and the left side mirror and the door handle were damaged too.
Aereon knew it wasn’t an accident, especially when the car parked next to him also suffered the same fate.
Aereon parked his car at a paid open space parking where he paid RM5. He left his car there at 7 pm and returned about 4 hours later, only to find his ride damaged.
“I parked my car at an entrance beside the guard house.”
It sounds like Aereon’s car should be safe if the place was guarded, but let’s not jump to any conclusion at the time being.
Fortunately, there was no internal damage and Aereon’s car worked just fine. He immediately informed his family and car insurance agent about the matter before lodging a police report in Cheras. Aereon then had his car inspected at Setapak police station and the next day, Honda quoted him RM13,304 for the damages.
However, Aereon decided to claim the amount from his insurance with NCD, and the process will take about 3 to 4 weeks.
Aereon shared the clip online in the hope that any witnesses may come forward to provide relevant information on the matter. He reached out to the police officer to get an update on the matter but not much has been revealed.
“It seems the weapon used was a wooden chair.”
