Locals and foreigners forcing people to pay them for roadside parking, also known as ulat parking (parking worms), has become a very common problem in Kuala Lumpur.

But, it appears that this issue is becoming worse as people who reject their forceful request for payment are finding their cars scratched.

Netizen, @ballerina391, took to her TikTok profile to showcase how her car was scratched after she had parked her car in Bukit Bintang and refused to pay someone for the spot.

She wrote, “Please help to make this viral, guys.”

“This is the Maybank Bukit Bintang area. They threatened me for not paying them for the parking spot. Look at what has happened to my car. They even claimed that all the parking spots there are theirs, and as they please, they put a price of RM15 for each car.”

In her video, a long scratch could be seen on her car’s door.

We genuinely hope that the authorities will take action against those who are forcing people to pay them for parking spots and actively patrol these areas to prevent them from popping up again.
