Earlier this week, netizens had complained about a grilled corn street vendor that had gone viral for causing a smoky disturbance in front of KLCC. Soon after, the authorities took action by shutting down the man’s stall.

Now, Malaysians are hoping that the authorities will do the same against foreigners who have been forcing people to pay for roadside parking at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

The alienskakireport TikTok page recently shared a video of a foreign man trying to make someone pay for parking by the roadside in Bukit Bintang. The person then confronted the foreign man by saying that they’d report him to the police, causing the foreign man to quickly flee the scene.

Alienskakireport wrote, “Foreign parking worms around the Bukit Bintang area, did you know that their salaries are much higher than our and your salaries?”

In the video, the foreign man could be seen standing at the car’s window while the people in the car could be heard telling him, “I don’t want to pay. I will call the police to catch you. I’ll call the police, the director of CID (Criminal Investigation Department), okay?”

Upon hearing those words, he quickly walked away.

Netizens have since called for the authorities to take action against foreigners who have been actively forcing people to pay for roadside parking in and around Kuala Lumpur.

“Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), what is this?”

Parking 2

“Where is the appropriate minister for this?”

“Where have the law enforcement officers gone?”

A simple solution to this is to have law enforcement officers patrolling these locations to actively prevent people from being forced and scammed into paying for roadside parking.
