Lately, Kuala Lumpur has turned into a hotspot for K-pop concerts, attracting a bunch of popular K-pop singers and groups to the city. K-pop is hugely popular among the general public, especially in Malaysia.
Fans have found their own special ways to show their appreciation and gratitude to the artists. In a recent video shared by @zyamhdsd, shows K-pop singer Ailee performing live in Kuala Lumpur on June 22nd.
Traditional Malay costume made exclusively for Ailee
In the video, Ailee receives a special gift of a traditional Malay costume known as the kebaya, with the designer himself presenting it to her during her performance.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Zya shared that the gift was a surprise from her fans, who crowdfunded it as a special thanks to Ailee for visiting Malaysia.
Surprise gifts from fans!
Zya went on to share that there were multiple surprises planned for the K-pop singer. At the beginning of the concert, fans welcomed her to Malaysia with a heartwarming video that brought her to tears on stage.
In addition to the kebaya, Ailee’s fans also surprised her with a cake from one of Malaysia’s top celebrity pastry chefs.
“Since her birthday was on May 30th, we Ailee fans surprised her with a cake from one of the best celebrity pastry chefs in Malaysia,” Zya mentioned.
The concert was memorable not just for everyone else but also for Ailee herself
In the video, after receiving the kebaya, Ailee could be heard complimenting the dress, expressing how beautiful she found it, and even asking when she could wear it. Fans humorously replied, suggesting she could wear it on her wedding day.
Zya mentioned that she believed the kebaya would suit Ailee perfectly, expressing her hope that everyone would get to see Ailee wearing the pink kebaya during the concert.
“All in all, it was a concert that I’ll never forget. Seeing Ailee’s expression and emotion as her fans kept surprising her made it a memorable night for all of us.”
