A family of 4 have been forced to live in their car, parking within the grounds of the Amru Al-As Mosque in Bandar Baru Sentul, Kuala Lumpur, for the past 2 years after moving from Temerloh, Pahang.

Federal Territory UMNO Information Chief, Datuk Sulam Muszaffar Gulam Mustakim, took to his Facebook page to share how the family is completely dependent on their vehicle as their ‘home’.

He wrote, “Allahuakhbar, I have been informed that there is a family of 4, with 2 children who are also students of SK Sri Perak, in the compound of the Amru Al-As Mosque in Bandar Baru Sentul, who have been living in a car as a home. It has been 2 years since they moved from Temerloh, Pahang.”

Thankfully, he is stepping in to help.

Datuk Sulam Muszaffar Gulam Mustakim went on to share that his party has contacted the appropriate authorities to assist in providing aid and finding a proper home for the family.

InshaAllah, UMNO Batu has contacted the MAIWP (Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council) and will try to help get assistance from DBKL (Kuala Lumpur City Hall) to provide a transit house for them. UMNO Batu will also try to find a rental house so that they can live more comfortably,” he said.

We genuinely hope that the family manages to find their footing with the assistance provided.
