GPS navigation apps have been ubiquitous these days and most of us might find it impossible to get to a place we’ve never been before by just relying on signboards and asking locals for directions.
However, as most of us could attest to, sometimes GPS navigation apps ain’t that reliable and provide us with dodgy routes, or worse, the wrong location.
Well, the above might be the case for this Proton Saga driver as the individual ended up driving the car through a narrow wooden bridge that’s only meant for small vehicles.
As shared by the Facebook page Inforoadblock, the incident is believed to have taken place at Kg Pengkalan Kakap in Merbok, Kedah yesterday (29 April 2023).
Through a couple of photos shared, the Proton Saga found itself stuck on the wooden bridge, with at least one of its tyres being trapped. Luckily, the wooden bridge could still handle the weight of the car, as it would’ve plunged into the small river stream below.
Based on one of the photos, it also looked like the car had damaged the railings of the bridge, clearly showing that the wooden bridge is not meant for cars.
In an update to the post, Inforoadblock shared that a forklift had to be called to help get the Proton Saga out of the bridge.
Hopefully, the vehicle and its owner were safe in the aftermath of the incident. One thing’s for sure though, the driver will definitely learn their lesson to be careful where they drive in the future!
