Some people say we’ve got to treat our facemasks like underwear. You’ve got to wear it at all times because it’s THAT important!
The two-week total lockdown with Phase 1 beginning today (June 1) was announced over the weekend as the Health Minister reported more than 9,000 daily cases recorded last Saturday (29 May).
With that, Malaysians have been vigilant, reminding each other to adhere to the SOPs and stay indoors in efforts to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. Not to mention taking into account the state of all the frontliners who have been working tirelessly and are now experiencing physical and mental exhaustion.

To encourage the nation to stay safe and remain home at all times, Malaysian artist Ann Jaafar recently went viral on Twitter after showcasing her creative re-imaginings of the face mask, which has become an integral part of everyone’s daily lives.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Ann said the doodles were her way of delivering a meaningful message in a more creative manner. “I love doodling and transforming everyday objects or food into an imaginative illustration,” said Ann.
From couples sitting one metre apart on public benches to the harrowing reminder of those fighting for their lives in the ICU, Ann delivers her message clearly. In every situation, masking up is an absolute must! This is definitely one of the most creative art pieces surrounding the use of face masks that we’ve seen so far.
Despite never revealing her true appearance on her page, Ann’s artwork definitely proves that she is someone who is loved by many. Ann encourages all Malaysians to be more responsible when it comes to adhering to SOPs during the pandemic, so check out her Instagram page to see what other doodles she’s got cooking up.
