Planning a wedding is not easy and it’s definitely something where you need to sit down with your partner and plan it to every detail.
This couple in Seremban, Nornajeha, 30 and Rohaizad Rahmat, 30, definitely discussed their wedding plans and made compromises as their wedding is a mash-up of Star Wars and Bohemian-themed decor!

Normally at Malay weddings, they would have a kompang troupe to accompany the bride and groom when they are walking to the pelamin.
Instead of forking out the additional money, they decided that they would play Star War’s “Imperial March”. They also used a lightsaber to cut the cake.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Nornajeha says that her husband has been a big fan of the franchise ever since he was little.
“His father introduced Star Wars to him and he wanted to share his interest with me, introducing me to his world.”
“We both have our own preferences so we combined our ideas to make it work.”
The bride chose to have a Bohemian-themed wedding so she DIYed her dress, photobooth and pelamin while her husband chose the Star Wars theme and used props that he had collected over the years.
In total, the wedding just set them back RM12,000 inclusive of all expenses (venue rent, catering, vendors, makeup, goodie bags, photographer, dress, pelamin, after-party cost, etc.).
The couple is very grateful to their parents as they had let them do whatever they want for the wedding.
“They said that they’re fine with me and my partner planning our own wedding as long as we’re happy.”
An RM12k wedding is certainly not bad at all! We wish the newlyweds a happy marriage that lasts as long as time!
