An RM850 fee for a religious class is reasonable, according to its organiser, Malaysian actress Neelofa.
She added that participants of the programme, which was organised with her husband, Haris Ismail, affectionately known as PU Riz, were satisfied with the experience.

Taking religious ceremonies to a higher level
Speaking to the media during an event yesterday (10 December), Neelofa defended the fee, saying that the programme was conducted in a 5-star hotel, where good food was served to the participants. The actress added that participants also received the best hospitality and special souvenir bags, as well as enjoyed the facilities of a comfortable prayer room.
“Participants know what they get; for that amount, they invested in the knowledge event that my husband and I had organised.”
“We want participants to have the best experience while gaining the benefits and emotional impact from the knowledge sharing of the invited panel,” Neelofa said.
Neelofa, who conducted many programmes and ceremonies with her husband at mosques and universities, said that they wanted to take religious ceremonies to a higher level. Up until today, she said no one has come forward and expressed dissatisfaction over the fee.

Her husband also weighed in about the RM850 fee, saying,
“Some people don’t mind paying thousands for a concert. The same goes for people who want to have a good talk session; it’s not wrong for them to invest some money in a comfortable talk session.”
At the same time, PU Riz expressed interest in organising a programme for the middle-class community.

“We do have plans to do a programme for the middle class because we understand the situation. When we do, please come.”
The said programme for the middle-class community is expected to take place on 31 January 2026.
