A Malaysian woman is calling out concertgoers for leaving the surroundings of Stadium Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, in a state of total disarray.
Taking to her Instagram account, Fitness By Kavitha shared how she has repeatedly found the national stadium heavily littered during her morning runs following major events.

A recurring issue
Kavitha noted that this was not the first instance where she had witnessed a public space, intended for community connection and exercise, being left in an unacceptable state following a concert.
She recalled first observing this issue after Siti Nurhaliza’s performance, noting that the scene the following morning was disappointing. Piles of rubbish had been left throughout the area, creating an uncomfortable and difficult environment for those visiting the stadium simply to use the exercise facilities.
Kavitha added:
“Today, it happened again after Ella’s concert. Concerts are wonderful. They bring joy, unity, and culture.
“But, it would be even more meaningful if the stage were also used to remind audiences of basic civic responsibility, to keep shared spaces clean, dispose of rubbish properly, or take it home if bins are full.”
Suggestions from the public

Kavitha went on to share suggestions she gathered from the public on how concertgoers and event management teams can maintain the cleanliness of public spaces:
- Prompt Clean-up: Event management teams should carry out clean-up work—not only inside the stadium but also the surrounding areas—immediately after an event concludes. Delays allow food waste to attract animals and create foul odours.
- Individual Accountability: If the rubbish bins are full, please take your litter home and dispose of it there.
- Adequate Infrastructure: Organisers should anticipate the crowd size and provide as many rubbish bins as possible.
- Civic Duty: As it is a public space, regardless of the event taking place, it is our responsibility as Malaysians and fans to keep the facilities clean. We must show consideration and compassion for others who wish to use the area

“Like today, we saw so many kids training amidst the rubbish. It is not healthy for anyone!” she remarked.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Kavitha shared her hope that this will provide clarity and awareness on our shared responsibility towards our surroundings.
