In love, there are bound to be sacrifices made by both parties as they tolerate and compromise on each other’s quirks but. This guy and his girlfriend had been together for six years and during this time, he had tried his best to fulfil all her requests and demands. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be, as he discovered her cheating on him because he wasn’t rich enough.

The brokenhearted guy shared a post on UTAR Confessions, saying that his girlfriend was always pushing him to do better, as she wanted a better future. Of course, he also benefited from this as well! He said that in university, his results weren’t that good but because of his girlfriend, he got a 3.6CGPA.
He managed to get into a big company and earned a salary of RM3,500. His girlfriend was not satisfied with this and said that he had no goal or accomplishments in life. So, he worked really hard and in one year, he managed to be promoted to Assistant Manager and earned RM5,000 a month.
“Then, she complained about my Perodua Myvi and said that it was very old and shabby. So, I bought a new car but could only afford a Mazda 3 which I have to pay RM1,500 for every month. You said that I didn’t plan for our future, had no savings or house so I listened to you. I cut down on going out with my friends, stopped smoking and drinking so I could save more money.”

Finally, he managed to buy a unit at a KL condo that his girlfriend liked, and he had to pay more than RM2,000 every month. He would also save RM1,000 monthly, but he saw something one day that broke his heart and rendered all his hard work and sacrifices useless.
“Today, I saw you in someone else’s Mercedes Benz. When I saw you with him, I was stunned and could only stand there in shock. I saw him kiss you and it was like a knife through my heart. I followed you in my car and saw him bring you to St. Regis for high tea but after that, you all went up to the rooms.”
“The guy’s size is bigger than you three times and honestly, I am more handsome than him. But he was wearing a Louis Vuitton shirt, Burberry shoes, Louis Vuitton wallet and took out a black credit card to pay and that was when I woke up and realised what was going on.”

After that, he left the hotel and went home, where he packed all his girlfriend’s things and printed photos of her cheating on him. He threw everything outside his house and when she came home, he ignored her persistent calls and messages.
“I cried alone at home, wondering what did I do wrong. I was so close to arranging your dream wedding dinner at Grand Hyatt. I had initially planned to propose to you next month and had bought a ring that you’ll like. But I’m tired now. Please don’t look for me anymore.”

Netizens consoled the poor guy, saying that he had a lucky escape as he managed to know her true colours before they got married. They also said that he was better off without his girlfriend and would find a better one next time.
