Pregnancies are arguably one of the most difficult things women have to experience in this lifetime, should they make the decision to bring life into this world. And with all the personal challenges they face during that finite period of time, it’s a pleasure to see some Malaysians who go above and beyond their day-to-day tasks to assist them in making the journey as smooth as possible.

Malaysian food stall Nasi Briyani Kukus Padu recently shared a video to their TikTok page @nasibriyanikukuspadu of a practice they carry out at their stall in Hulu Langat. Receiving immense praise for revealing such a noble duty, the founder of the stall, Mohd Faisal, shared that the eatery provides certain priorities pregnant customers.

“So there are 2 pregnant ladies in line. We will pull them forward, take their orders 1st, and let them skip the line. Pity them, for they are pregnant after all,” said Faisal in the video.

Jumping into action, Faisal immediately called to one of the pregnant women to ask her what she wanted, which was one order of chicken biryani and beef biryani. Moving swiftly, Faisal hurried his employees to quickly pack her order. If that wasn’t enough, Faisal proceeded to inform her that the final cost for both items was just RM11, as he refused to charge her for the beef biryani, making that item free.

At the end of the video, Faisal cheekily stated how he thinks the pregnancy population near his stall may increase due to this gesture, though it was said it fun and jest. Continuing on, Faisal added that he will continue to prioritise pregnant customers and provide them with free food if they were to visit his stall.

Receiving immense praise online, many people extended their gratitude towards Faisal and his biryani stall for setting such a practice, as their kindness would certainly be returned in twofold.

A very charitable man. May your stall continue to flourish!” wrote one user.
