A Malaysian artist is currently getting a lot of love online from both locals and foreigners alike, following his batik artworks for the new, upcoming Venom movie, Venom: The Last Dance.
Sony Pictures Malaysia took to its Facebook page to share multiple posts showcasing the artist, Arif Rafhan Othman’s gorgeous batik portraits of the titular character, Venom.
In the posts, they wrote, “Venom takes on a traditional twist with this stunning Batik-inspired design. A true fusion of Malaysian culture and the world of Venom, crafted to perfection. (A) special shoutout to Arif Rafhan Othman for the stunning artwork!”
“You’ve got to see it to believe it! Combining the elegance of Batik with the ferocity of Venom creates an art form like no other. What do you think of this fusion of tradition and Venom?”
Arif Rafhan Othman is famously known for his gorgeous batik works of art, with him often creating pieces surrounding famous and trending characters, with more recent ones including Thailand’s famous baby hippopotamus, Moo Deng, and Star Wars characters such as Darth Vader.
