A Malaysian man almost got cut in the neck by kite thread while riding motorcycle in Batu Pahat.

In a Facebook post by user Edmund Seow, his father’s neck was injured and almost cut in half on the road. “When I got home, my dad, who had just taken a shower, came out and pointed to his neck: ‘Look.'” After getting a closer look, the family members realised how severe the injury was.

“Just now when I was riding my motorbike to go home from Rivercity Business Park, something suddenly got wrapped around my neck and I couldn’t move forward, I almost fell down by the side of the road!” Seow’s father said. “Afterwards, I saw a group of Malay children flying kites, and the kite strings were wrapped around my neck! If I went faster, my whole head would be cut off!” he added.

The father then scolded the children and asked them to not fly kites by the side of the road, or they might accidentally kill someone.

Seow also expressed his frustration, “Not every empty space can be used as a playground, let alone by the roadside! Today my dad is only injured, who will be responsible if something unfortunate happens?!”.

Seow’s post tagged Rivercity Business Park’s official Facebook page to spread the information, the post has gotten 1.6k reacts and 5.8k shares at the time of writing.

Spread awareness to prevent accidents like such in the future.
