As inflation hits, many people have been stricter with how they spend money. That being said, most people have been learning the ‘art’ of haggling prices and unfortunately for this air conditioner technician, he has had enough!

Just several days ago, a Malaysian air conditioner technician named Ang shared 2 screenshots of an exchange with a customer who was enquiring about his services. In the first screenshot, the customer asked if he installs air conditioners and how much would he charge to install a 1-horsepower aircond.

Ang then replied saying that he charges RM250 for installation fee.

After learning the price, he started haggling. The customer asked if he could reduce the price. Ang asked how much was he willing to pay. The customer then replied saying that his budget is RM120, he doesn’t need the air conditioner to be placed strategically, as long as it’s cooling, he will accept it.

Then Ang sent a picture over to him, and the picture features an air conditioner that is only installed on one side. The customer then replied, “What? Is that possible?”

At the end, the customer decided to not proceed with the installation and Ang shared this brief experience on his Facebook.

This post has since garnered over 500 shares and netizens were amused with the way Ang responded.

A netizen commented saying that RM250 is considered cheap, the market price right now is ranging at RM280-RM350.

Another netizen then tagged her friend saying, “you should learn from this”

A netizen hilariously tagged her friend asking if he has done anything like this.

We understand that life has been tough but it’s best to not haggle too much and cause nuisance to people who are actually working hard for their money.
