To reach your workplace on time is justifiable, but to leave the office on time SHOULD NOT be a problem if you have completed your tasks for the day.
In Malaysia, not all employees have the luxury of clocking out on time despite never being late, as some places have a working culture of “staying late” to prove your commitment.
Fortunately for these bunch of employees, they don’t have to spend extra time in the office. They couldn’t even if they wanted to.
Their employer, who is local host and actor Datuk AC Mizal, could be seen asking his fellow employees to leave the workplace and head home as it was already 6pm.
“It’s 6 pm. Switch off the air-con and the WIFI. Go home, go home!”
As some of the workers at the scene still had their hands on deck, AC Mizal repeatedly asked them to stop whatever they were doing and go home.
“It’s 6:05 pm, and only one elevator is available,” he added.
He also made it clear that he was going to cut off the electricity if anyone decided to stay to finish their work. Not only that but AC Mizal jokingly “threatened” to splatter them with paint if they did not leave.
The office, SUKE TV is located in KL and is a television station which is owned by Datuk AC Mizal himself. The actor clearly puts the productivity and work-life balance of his fellow employees into account, which gained the attention of netizens through a TikTok video shared on SUKE TV’s account.
What a good boss!
Many netizens expressed their amusement after seeing such an understanding boss who encourages his fellow underlings to leave on time.
“My boss has never asked to leave early. AC is such a good boss.”
“It’s so fun to have such employer who nags when his employees stay back,” said a user.
Another commented, “It’s not easy to find a boss who asks you to leave on time. They usually want their employees to stay longer.”
In the meantime, the clip has also gained the attention of some Malaysians who expressed their interest in working at the TV station and enquired about the job application there.
“Where is this? Do you have any vacancy,” asked a user.
